Additive Manufacturing in New Mexico
Manufacturing without pretending every job needs a mold, a minimum order of ten thousand, or six months of lead time.

Additive manufacturing earns its place when the economics or geometry are different.
Traditional manufacturing is powerful, but it was not designed around every low-volume, custom or frequently changing product. Additive builds directly from digital geometry, avoiding dedicated molds in applications suited to the process.
Alt 3D’s production service centers on 3D-printed parts. We agree on the material, quantity, preparation and delivery condition before printing. Painting, metal casting and on-site installation are not included services.
Where it shines
- Low-volume production without dedicated molds or dies.
- Bridge manufacturing while a product is evolving.
- Complex geometry difficult to manufacture conventionally.
- Custom fixtures and tooling around a specific workflow.
- Replacement parts where OEM support has disappeared.
- Mass customization where geometry changes part to part.
We are not going to tell you everything should be 3D printed.
That would be bad manufacturing advice. Quantity, load, temperature, tolerance, surface requirements, labor and unit economics all matter. We would rather identify where additive gives the project an advantage than force every job into the process we happen to own.
From one validated part to repeat production
- Review the application. What must the part survive and accomplish?
- Review the geometry. Orientation, supports and assembly affect cost and performance.
- Prototype if needed. Evaluate a sample before multiplying an error.
- Establish the production plan. Agree on material, batch size, preparation and delivery.
- Produce and iterate. Keep the approved file revision clear when ordering the next batch.

Additive manufacturing FAQ
Is additive manufacturing just another term for 3D printing?
3D printing is the common term for the process. This service focuses on using it for functional parts, fixtures, engineering work and repeat production.
Can you handle repeat orders?
Yes. Keep the approved file revision, material and quantity clear when reordering. We confirm availability, timing and pricing for each batch.
What do you need to quote a production run?
Send the model, dimensions, quantities, intended use and delivery requirements. Identify critical surfaces, tolerances and any sample approval needed before the main run.
